You might have any number of reasons for wanting to secure your greenhouse. Maybe you are growing something rare and expensive that you don’t want people to get to or maybe you live in an area that suffers vandalism. Mississippi home security systems are known to be some of the best on the market, but you can’t very well secure a greenhouse with one of those. The advanced motion detectors would go off at every little thing moving around outside.
So how do you secure a greenhouse?
One way is to invest in a good, sturdy pad-lock for the entrance inside. Most intruders really aren’t looking for trouble or a confrontation and the presence of a lock alone may be enough of a deterrent. They certainly aren’t going to break any glass – not without drawing attention to themselves.
Another thing that you can invest in is a nice, sturdy glass box with air holes. You can find these in some hardware stores and gardening centers, but it is sometimes cheapest to just make one yourself. You can secure it with a lock and key as well, giving some added protection to some of your more delicate and rare plants without cutting them off from the sun.
