Our Garden Nursery and Water Gardens now carries a wide selection of water plants from 2" to 2 gallon. We also have several colors of water lilies. With each one growng from 3 to 6 or 7 feet in width, you don't need many for your pond. Make sure to pay attention to the water depth of a water plant. Put one too deep under water and you could kill it. Some only like shallow water, while others can be several feet deep.

Regular soils will not work in a water garden for planting your new water plants. If you have small pockets in your pond, you can use Aquatic soil or "infield mix". It doesn't muddy your pond and doesn't float away. Don't want to actually "plant" your water plants in your pond? You can put them in any type of contaner using the Aquatic soil. Make sure to wash off any soil around the roots of the plant, place a small amount of the Aquatic soil in the bottom of your container, add your plant and more Aquatic soil. Make sure to add a slow release fertilizer such as Osmocote to your soil when planting your water plant. These are all products we now carry.
